  Looks can definitely be deceiving. The food tasted great, service was good and the atmosphere relaxed. BYO is a plus. Pricing was great value - better than most in Nelson Bay. Although, it was obvious, it was considered a "local". If you go, do not leave it too late is it fills up quickly (early January) - plus the fact it closes at 09:00pm, as do most in Nelson Bay!

  Shocking n shocking last time too. Cant wait for Jumbo to reopen. Hubby had to walk out as boiled rice that we asked for came late n was stone motherless cold. Sizzling steak had too much onion it that it wasn't funny n about 6 tiny pieces of steak - not good. Definitely won't be back. The more we hv gone here the smaller the servings n for $102 it's a rip off! Tall waitress has no personality n they needed the little blonde girl tonight as she's fabulous. Put more staff on as tall girl was seeing to the takeaways more than customers in the restaurant. Hubby rang also to complain n girl wouldnt put him thru to owner n she couldn't have cared less. Do yourself a favour n try Jumbo Palace out - so much better - huge servings!

  Satay chicken was great, staff was friendly and attentive, all stir fries had fresh vegies and great flavour. A great local find.
